Illuminated Cannula
The Baumann Gastroc Recession System (Baumann GRS) Illuminated Cannula, was designed to elevate surgical precision with unparalleled visualization capabilities. Our innovative Cannula ensures surgeons experience a crystal-clear and detailed view of the operative area. The 360-degree visibility opens up a comprehensive perspective, enabling surgeons to observe the entire surgical field from top to bottom and across both sides.
Gastroc Shield
The Gastroc Shield provides critical protection against cutting into the patient's muscle tissue. Cutting too deep can create postoperative complications such as hematoma and/or unintended muscle weakness. The Gastroc Shield ensures that the only fasical layer is released.
Light Source
The Baumann GRS comes equipped with an integrated light source. This thoughtful feature easily fits into the channel of the Cannula, emitting a soft light to enhance visibility in the operative area. It's a simple yet effective solution for improved clarity and precision during surgical procedures.
Obturator
The Obturator component assists in the separation of the the fascial layer and the gastrocnemius muscle. Its primary function is to facilitate the easy insertion of the Gastroc Shield into the operative site. With precision and efficiency, the Obturator enhances the overall functionality of the system, ensuring a seamless surgical process.
